Matthew 25:35-40: (35) For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: (36) Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. (37) Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? (38) When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? (40) And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
First time visitors (all ages) are greeted at the door by Evergreen Greeters and will be greeted personally by Pastor Arthur Douglas, Jr. and First Lady Sheila Douglas after service and invited to attend first time visitors reception in our first time visitors area.
YOU’RE WELCOME HERE AT EVERGREEN! Our goal is for all visitors to feel welcome and the love of Christ when they walk through the door! We want to make those who come through the doors of the church to feel at home, to come again and to possibly make Evergreen their church home.

Firefighters (Emergency Care):
The Evergreen Baptist Church is blessed to have as members of our congregation two fire fighters from the Shreveport Fire Department, Arthur Douglas III and Rickey Jamaal Douglas, Sr (pictured below with Shreveport Fire Department Chaplin, their Father and our Pastor, Arthur Douglas, Jr.).
(I Thessalonians 5:12-13) And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their works sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
The Pastor's Encouragers ministry serves to offer personal support for the pastor as he carries out the will of God in leading the Evergreen congregation. Support is offered through encouraging words and continual prayers for God’s blessings on his preaching, teaching, spiritual guidance, and overall leadership. It is further desired that the Encouragers’ prayers and various acts of love will result in physical, emotional, and financial blessings for our pastor and his family.
