1 Timothy 3:8 – 13 “Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
The purpose of the Deacons' Ministry is to serve the Lord and His Church by assisting the Pastor in meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the Church. Deacons are appointed and ordained by the Pastor.

Hebrews 13:1-2 “Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
The purpose of a church greeter is to help prepare the way for a person to encounter God in the worship service. A friendly smile might change a negative attitude. An expression of compassionate care might calm the nerves of stressed parents.

Our Purpose: "We promise to strengthen the bonds of friendship; strive toward a wholesome, harmonious, sympathetic, and sisterly relationship among ministers' wives and widows everywhere, and to practice and uphold the great Christian principles given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
Our Theme: "Sisters with a Heart of Love and A Spirit of Service.”
"Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of us should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than ourselves.”
Each of us should be concerned not only about our own interests, but about the interests of others as well.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:3-5)
